Since acquiring The White Lion, owner Kelvin Barks and his team have totally refurbished the premises and converted it into a highly respectable and top class eatery.

On top of other policy alterations, the decision to change the pub into a fully non-smoking establishment has proved to be a popular one. It has attracted a set of clientele who are more suited to the atmosphere and ethos that Kelvin is aiming to create. This injection of class and professional culture has made it a more enjoyable place to relax, eat and drink.

In addition to the current refurbishments, a conservatory is being built which will create more space and further areas to relax and enjoy some food ... or a quiet beverage! There are also plans to transform the garden to cater for all ages as well as providing a new access point directly from the car park. Kelvin’s longer term plans involve launching a small chain of similar styled pubs in the local area sometime in the future.
